What is the ACP Program?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal program that provides discounts on internet and phone service, as well as device discounts, to eligible low-income households. The ACP replaced the Emergency Broadband Benefit program and offers up to $30/month off internet service ($75/month for households on Tribal lands) and up to $100 toward a device purchase.
Eligibility Requirements
You may qualify for ACP if you meet one of the following criteria:
Income-Based Eligibility
Your household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Program-Based Eligibility
You automatically qualify if you or someone in your household participates in:
- Medicaid
- SNAP/EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
- SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
- WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children)
- Lifeline program participation
- Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program
- Federal Pell Grant (current award year)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance

Discounted Phones and Tablets
ACP provides up to $100 toward a device purchase (laptop, tablet, or desktop computer) with a co-pay of $10-$50. Some providers also offer discounted smartphones with similar pricing.
