What is the Tribal Lifeline Program?
The Tribal Lifeline Program is a critical component of the federal Lifeline program, specifically designed to provide enhanced support for eligible low-income individuals and families residing on Tribal lands. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by these communities, Tribal Lifeline offers increased benefits to ensure access to essential communication services.
Eligible households on Tribal lands can receive a discount of up to $34.25 per month on their phone, internet, or bundled service. This enhanced benefit helps bridge the digital divide and provides vital connectivity for education, healthcare, employment, and emergency services.
The program is funded through the Universal Service Fund (USF) and administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is available across all recognized Tribal lands.
